Brian Michael Bendis leaving Marvel for DC

Well, in extremely unexpected news, Brian Michael Bendis is moving companies to write exclusively for DC. What does this mean for the Doctor Doom storyline that he's been setting up for all this time? Who knows!
I'm going to be biting my nails until we find out when we're getting a new writer and who it's going to be. If it's someone who's better at writing dialogue for Doom and also continues this storyline, it could be great (crossing my fingers desperately for Al Ewing, since I don't think Hickman's intending to write any more for Marvel) but if it's someone who wants to overturn all this character work and immediately turn Doom back into a supervillain, it could be awful.
(I should have known better than to tempt fate by saying, "the good thing about this story being Bendis's baby is that he'll definitely get to finish it," shouldn't it?)

AKA, despite the numbering, the first issue of the new Iron Man series where Doom becomes part of a more ensemble cast.
