Hi, Dreamwidth! I know I have not been around in a while -- I have been having a lot of migraines -- but, here, I finally finished a story for the Dodged A Bullet 616 Steve/Tony Civil War exchange. This was not actually the story I intended to write, because I did not finish that one -- once again, I have been having a lot of migraines -- but I did finish this one. Not the other one, so my WIP pile is at a net zero, but I tried.

Casefic Exchange Reveals

Authors for Casefic Exchange have been revealed! I wrote a Jonathan Creek mystery, The Invisible Thief (8k, gen) and received a delightful Cadfael story, Bitter Medicine, from okapi (6.5k, gen). Had a fun time all round, found lots in the collection to read, and am definitely hoping this exchange runs again next year.

In other fannish news, not much. My efforts to watch more new-to-me TV have been slightly stalled by replacing my PC ahead of schedule (I was going to wait until closer to the end of Windows 10, but my elderly monitor died in the July heat and it was easiest to get everything at once) as a result of which I've been playing a lot of Minecraft for the first time in years. It's far from a gaming PC, but I went for 16GB RAM this time instead of my usual routine of picking bare minimum specs that are fine for my needs now but get steadily bogged down by updates over time, and have been pretty impressed by how well the AMD integrated graphics so hold up far. (Not that it would be hard to look impressive compared to my old PC, let alone the Win7 one I had before that where the graphics driver would crash if you won solitaire and triggered the fireworks animation.) I also treated myself to a mechanical keyboard, which although relatively cheap and basic as those go is much nicer to type on than a standard keyboard.

Hoping to actually sign up for Yuletide again this year instead of just treating, so, probably see you soon!
