I am really looking forward to getting this tomorrow. If any of what the promo text is true then this will be pretty fast moving. Bendis would have taken a year to tell this story. :-) I shouldn't dis him though...I give him tons of credit for taking Doom in a new direction after SW, even if he did borrow the Iron Man name on the title for a while.
That new armor is hardcore...Almost has a bit of Samauri look to it. I would probably be a nightmare for an artist to draw all the time so it's probably going to be short-lived.
Yeah, I like the armour design - I assume it's some kind of magical construct he has at the ready to call on if he gets sent to hell. If this is really hell and not another illusion, anyway. Definitely an interesting twist, either way; I wasn't expecting things to go in this direction after the shooting. (You're right, I feel like with Bendis pacing we'd probably have had at least another issue of running around with Morgan and facing off against Taskmaster before getting Doom's arrival in hell as the next cliffhanger.)
