The ending of FF #7 hints that we might finally be going somewhere with the promised Doom storyline next issue:

...I don't know whether to look forward to this or not. FF is the better and more consistent of the two F4 titles, but Fraction's writing is so up and down for me I'm never sure what to expect. (And I have to admit, though I like some of Allred's art, I'm not too keen on his take on Doom.) At least Alex's part in this suggests there's going to be more nuance to this than Doom as bad guy to be defeated. Guess we'll have to wait and see...
