Marvel's January solicits are out, with details for Doctor Doom #4 and another appearance in Savage Avengers.
Cantwell continues to pull out some less obvious character choices to mix it up with Doom, which I'm fairly on board for after liking the stuff with Kang in the first issue. Not sure if that forgotten hero of the past is maybe a reference to Blue Marvel (who also popped up in the #3 solicits, but I must admit I'm not super familiar with his backstory), or someone else.
Really very little of what I've heard about this series remotely appeals to me, but the idea of Doctors Doom, Strange and Voodoo interacting is still very tempting anyway. Maybe I'll check some reviews/reactions and decide if it sounds worth picking up later.

As his homeland is invaded by foreign adversaries, DOCTOR DOOM continues to be hunted, and on his own. But his conviction strengthens as he further embraces a possible future where he becomes the savior of all humankind. In order to confront those who have set him up as a global criminal, Doom will fight his way through the doors of the spy organization A.I.M, where he'll battle his would-be assassin TASKMASTER, and match wits with one of the biggest brains in the universe... M.O.D.O.K. Meanwhile, a forgotten and bereft hero of the past will suddenly rise on the geopolitical stage...

The Quest to Kill Kulan Gath Part 1
Folks, we won't mince words. Kulan Gath has got to go. If Conan The Barbarian, Doctor Strange and Doctor Doom can't do it, then it can't be done. Plus, what is the fate of Kulan Gath's guest, Doctor Voodoo?

Date: 2019-10-25 01:04 am (UTC)The last time Taskmaster encountered Doom didn’t end up too well for Tasky either. He was a late addition to the Cabal after Namor and Emma deserted Osborn. When Doom saw him at his last appearance in front of the Cabal, he asked ‘“Who is this fiend”, which I found hilarious but odd. Doom’s intel would be up to date on him but he was probably dismissing him as third rate. Then the room was swarmed with nanobots and Doom blew the place up.
I think you must be right about Blue Marvel being the forgotten hero..IIRC his appearance has already been confirmed.
On another note, I read another bit of info from Bleeding Cool that orders are strong for issue #2 of Doctor Doom. It’s towards the bottom of the article. https://www.bleedingcool.com/2019/10/22/future-marvel-universe-doctor-doom-spoilers/
