That is one thing I always respected about Hickman...that he bothered to bring Boris and Kristoff back from comic book limbo.
Yes, that's another reason I was excited to see Cantwell namechecking various older comics in this interview - he's obviously done his homework in a similar way, so perhaps we'll see some neglected elements brought back. Wasn't the original Valeria actually Boris's granddaughter? (Can't remember if that detail came from Books of Doom or not, but I'm sure I read it somewhere.) So, yes, he'd be generation older than Werner and Cynthia and probably at least about 40 years older than Victor.
I remember reading about the Caroline le Fey thing, but I never got around to collecting the comics because nothing much seemed to come of it. The idea of Morgan having Doom's child was a great concept but it felt like they kind of wasted it. And agreed on the meh name. I quite liked Vincent von Doom from that one original Secret Wars What If comic where they all stayed on Battleworld and had kids; he had a good name and a good look, so I wouldn't mind them recycling that for a 616 version.
