Thanks for starting a separate discussion on this. IMO Cantwell hit all the right notes for me with his plans for the series; Emphasis on mystical skills, his interest in giving the reader a "street level" Doom, using stories like Triumph and Torment or Byrne's Doom and the retaking of his throne, his need to have control over a situation, etc. I'm glad that there was no mention of Unthinkable or Matt Fraction's Fantastic Four :-)
For anyone who hasn't read Cantwell's stuff (I hadn't either) his Doom story in War Scrolls #3 mentioned in the article is worth checking into to
