Unexpected cameo of Doom! Just a tiny one, so I won't bother recapping/reviewing the whole issue.
Apparently, Valeria is still pissy about the way that FF ended (aren't we all). So, she's run away to Latveria, leaving behind a note for her parents that explains, "I need to be away from everything - Dad's half truths and secrets and your compliance in how Dad conducts himself." Uncle Victor has invited her to stay with him, and Val believes "there's a chance now to change him for the better". She asks her parents not to come after her - she'll return when she's ready.
Then we see a page of the two of them together, where Doom puts his hand on Val's shoulder and asks her what they should do first. She says, "Well, I was thinking that after all your years of trying to tear the world down... it might make a nice change if we built it up."
So, consider me intrigued! Too early to tell where Robinson's going with his interpretation of Doom, but he seems to be drawing a fair bit on details from Hickman's run for various plotlines, so I live in hope that we'll see something closer to Hickman's Doom than the version in FF. I'll be keeping an eye on this one.
