Yeah, the art in BoD is definitely a bit uneven - it seems like the artist relies on photo references a lot, and sometimes it goes a bit off (in particular, I never liked his take on the actual Doom mask, but it was only when someone at CBR linked a picture of this 3D bust of Doctor Doom that I realised he was using that thing with its weird looking face as a reference). But there are a lot of panels in there I really love.
