Marvel.com has just added FF #1 to the free-to-read section. Doom only has a cameo, but it has all the setup for him joining forces with the FF.

Tom Brevoort on the Victor Von Doom cancellation

Tom Brevoort answered some questions on his Formspring account about the cancellation of the Victor Von Doom miniseries, confirming it was due to production problems:

Tom Brevoort: There were problems with getting the work completed on time, and given that it was a pedigree project that likely wasn't going to do huge numbers, I didn't want to have to sausage it up among multiple creators in order to make the ship dates. Better, in my judgment, not to do it in the first place.

And on the chances of it being resurrected:

Tom Brevoort: It's not impossible, but it's not likely in the immediate future.
