X-Men #19 Review

This is the last issue in the FF/X-Men crossover, and makes for a pretty decent conclusion to the storyline. Overall I've been quite pleased: this story definitely shaped up to be better than I was expecting from the slightly shaky start in issue #16.

Taken as a whole, I'd say this crossover was a decent enough if mostly predictable story, with some nice little character moments and a pretty good showing for Doctor Doom. So I have no complaints.

X-Men #19 Preview

CBR has the lettered preview for the final part of the X-Men/FF crossover. Jorge Molina's back on art for this one, and there's one page of Doom and Magneto in there.

X-Men #18 Review

There was also a second Doctor Doom appearance this week, and I was pretty satisfied with that one too.

All in all, this continues to be an enjoyable little crossover; nothing spectacular, but it's humming along nicely enough, and I haven't regretted buying an issue so far.

Lettered Preview for X-Men #18

CBR has the preview for Wednesday's X-Men #18. Three pages of Doomy goodness.

Gischler's take on Doom is looking increasingly good to me; I like all his dialogue here. It's a different artist, Mirco Pierfederici, since the book is double-shipping this month. The name's new to me, but it blends pretty seamlessly with the Molina art from the last two issues, and so far I like it. Promising stuff.

X-Men #17 Review

Hmm, hey, a pretty decent issue actually. Stronger than #16, I think, and all in all not a bad read. Doom doesn't appear very much, but he does get to play an important role in the plot.

On the strength of this issue I'm now a bit more interested in the rest of this storyline than I was, so, definitely not a bad purchase.

X-Men #16 Review

Doom also makes an appearance in this week's X-Men #16; it's a bit of a setup issue with a large cast, so it's hard to get much a feel for how it's going to go, but so far, not too bad. I'm certainly willing to try out the next issue.

Spoilers )

This is the first issue in a four part storyline, so it remains to be seen how the rest of it goes.
