Tom Brevoort on the Victor Von Doom cancellation

Tom Brevoort answered some questions on his Formspring account about the cancellation of the Victor Von Doom miniseries, confirming it was due to production problems:

Tom Brevoort: There were problems with getting the work completed on time, and given that it was a pedigree project that likely wasn't going to do huge numbers, I didn't want to have to sausage it up among multiple creators in order to make the ship dates. Better, in my judgment, not to do it in the first place.

And on the chances of it being resurrected:

Tom Brevoort: It's not impossible, but it's not likely in the immediate future.

Apparently the editor who was originally overseeing this book recently got laid off, so I guess there's been some scrambling about with people losing track of who's supposed to be handling what. :/ I don't know if the replacement editor wanted changes they couldn't finish in time or what, but it's a real shame. I was really looking forward to this miniseries.
