I said the exact same thing about Werner to my friend; this weird Machiavellian take on him on the heels of Bendis insisting Cynthia was an awful mom (Doom torching her grave was played straight, I still can’t believe that lmaooo), i’m so not a fan. Werner was a HEALER for god’s sake, he died because he helped someone he didn’t want to help (he was forced to, but w/e!!) Doesn’t the tragedy lie in the fact that his parents were good people taken away too soon, which then embittered him? Whaaaatever.

I also personally really didn’t care for kid Doom beating up an old beggar, and I can’t emphasize that enough lol. And I kind of liked not knowing what happened right between SW and Doom’s reintroduction into 616, I preferred the mystery.
